Kerri Wallace passed out copies of the Treasurers report and a report outlining the recipients of charitable donations from the Rockton Lions Club for 2009-2010 and how much, when the funds were donated

Kerri Wallace received a bill for the electrical panel that was put in for Rockton Lions Club use mainly for OSD at Settler’s Park. Is this a monthly maintenance bill? Is the panel locked? We as the owners of the panel should have the key. The pavilion should be on a separate server therefore we should not be paying for that electricity (if that is what the bill is for). Next steps-----Scott Wallace will contact Rock County Coop to find out the usage. Can they shut it off when not in use? What would be the turn on cost? Scott Wallace to reach out to the Village of Rockton for negotiation on leasing, paying for the monthly bill...
Autism speaks request for a donation was received....Kerri Wallace motion to pass for the rest of the year of 2010 since e have already given them a donation in 2010. Paula Swenson second the motion. Motion passed
Thank You were read for donations they received from Rockton Lions club.....Alport Syndrome $500.00 The kids who received scholarships (2)
Jerry W requested an additional gas card in the amount of $100.00 for Linda who we donated a few months back a gas card as she was in Sycamore due to an injury in bus accident. She is now in Loves Park in a rehab facility. Jerry brought the motion....Josh second motion-Motion passed in the amount of a $100.00 gas card
OSD UPDATE-STEVE POMAHAC
Would like the 2011 OSD budget to be approved at the next Lions club meeting
Scott Wallace requested that Steve Pomahac come to the next Lions club meeting with nominations for a core group of “main department heads” or a “core group of people” for OSD in order to streamline communication and operations of OSD.
Requested monthly OSD meetings should start in January
August advised the meeting room at Steve Pomahacs office is very small and requested that the folks who attend are only the people who make the biggest impact on OSD
Fireworks was a “hot topic” and what to do with next years fireworks. Discussed sponsorship of fireworks so that Lions Club does not have to pay for them. Due to multiple complaints about late fireworks last year and the decision by security to not turn off the stage lights during the fireworks discussion is continuing regarding fireworks. Possibilities include... Saturday night during band intermissions, not having them all together, not posting a time for fireworks.
South Beloit Lions - discussion from OSD regarding payment amount-No motions brought need more discussion and research
Shirland teachers discussion from OSD regarding payment amount. There was a problem on Saturday night in beer ticket sales they were a no show but the other nights they were signed up they did show.-No motions brought need more discussion

There were multiple new players and foursomes this year brought in by Rockton Lions Club members
Golf Day grossed just over $1,000 for 2010
DUES FOR 2010-2011
Kerri Wallace requested those who have not turned in their dues to do so. $60.00 per person or $100.00 for a married couple
Next meeting will be at the Legion at 6:30 on 10/07/2010. Food will be served. Menu and prices will be communicated prior to the meeting.
