PRESIDENT MESSAGES-Augie
Next meeting will be on Nov 4th 2010 held at Minnahans in Rockton from 6:00-7:00pm. Minnahans will be closed during our meeting therefore need to keep it limited to an hour if possible.
After the meeting at Minnahans we will discuss the possibility of having meetings between Fibs and Minnahans for the remainder of the 2010/2011 year.
Reminder on Thursday October 28th 2010 there will be a Zone 1 and Zone 2 meeting held at The Legion at 7:00 pm dinner catered by ABC Catering. Cost of dinner is $14.50 per person Please attend we are one of the biggest clubs in our area so would like to have a good turn out. Discussed having Mike Peavy do a 50/50 raffle also at this meeting. Kim Peavy will send out a reminder email

There are still multiple people who owe club dues. Please pay Kerri Wallace deadline will be the Nov 4th meeting. All invoices have been sent out to those who needed them. Kim Peavy to send out an email to those club members who still owe dues.

Received a thank you card from The Old Stone Church pantry for the donation to the food pantry
CANDY DAY update by Kathy Bellich
60% of proceeds from candy day goes to Lions of Illinois. Our club deposit for candy day was $1,128.23. There is a box and a half of candy left. Kathy will see if the candy will fit into the candy displays for local business.

CHRISTMAS WALK UPDATE- Andrew Davenport
Pancake breakfast age 3 and under will be free, ages 4-12 will be $3.00 13 and above will be $5.00
Silent auction will begin 30 minutes after the lighted parade ends....Still looking for new items for the baskets... Also need baskets to fill
The brochure will remain the same from 2009
OLD BUISNESS
Kim Peavy provided Kerri Wallace with a draft of the nomination form for new program to help the community. Kerri will work on adding the Lions club logo and adding this to a test site for review. Once completed and approved we will work with the newspapers to get the word out and add to the Lions Club website. Possibility of having Tshirts made for volunteers Kim and Mike Peavy will obtain a bid on Tshirts.
Kim Peavy asked for suggestions on the name for this program. Good suggestion was Rockton Cares
Scott Wallace is turning 40 this Wednesday HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT.. Oh and Kerri Wallace is still 40!!
NEW BUSINESS
Augie requested a committee to work on the Lions club Christmas dinner.
Committee members will be Kim Peavy, Andrew Davenport, Andi Honkamp
Dinner will tentatively be held on Dec 16th will try to limit per person cost to $15.00-$20.00.. Some suggestions for a venue are The Butterfly Club, Rusty Putter, La Casa Grande, Liberty Inn, Dominocos, China Palace, Jessicas, Elderberry Tea Room
Asked for everyone to think about additional options to present at next meeting
Dale Adams requested some information on the Lions club Vests. Kim Peavy will print out some information on the Vests, Polo shirts, Hats including pricing for the next meeting on Nov 4th
OSD UPDATE
Core committee members are Kathy French - Food, Kerri Wallace - Carnival/Treasurer, Kim Peavy-Parade, Dan-Fireworks, Cyndy-Trading Post, Josh-Media/Entertainment, Steve, Zig-front gate, Cory - Grounds
First OSD meeting will be held on Wed October 27th at 5:30 at Steve Pomahac's office
