| August reported he attended the zone meeting last night, focus was on moving the business meetings along at a quicker pace. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Secretary's Report: Betsy had previously emailed the link to the online minutes. If anyone is not getting her emails please let her or Augie know. Motion to approve minutes by Steve P, 2nd by Zig, motion carried. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Cathy Bellich introduced her guests, two perspective new members, Mike and Nancy Niedermeier. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Rockton has added 6 new members this Lion Year (beginning July 1), but has lost a total of 10 members on renewal. At this point we are -4 on the year, we would like to get this membership number on the plus side. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| OSD - no report, next meeting December 3rd 5:30 pm @ fibs. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Frank Green read several Thank you notes: from the Old Stone Church food pantry for our donation, Stephen Dickson for our DARE donation, Circle of Change for our $100 donation to RMH toy drive. This puts us at the Elf level. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Donation Requests: Autism Speaks, we had given $500 in 2008 to sponsor Kerri on her Autism Speaks walk in Chicago. This organization does a lot in the field, research, respite, family support, education. Motion by Steve P, 2nd by Bruce to donate $500 again to this organization. 1 abstain, Motion carried. Kerri thanks you very much. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Beloit Regional Hospice requests a donation, we'd give $500 & $1000 in the past. Motion by Dan and 2nd by Steve P to donate $1000. Motion carried. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Christmas party is Sunday January 10th, at the Rockton Inn. Watch your email for invitations and please RSVP when you receive it. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Kathy reported for the Chamber on the Christmas Walk. They are doing live remotes with different radio stations and she wanted some kind of give aways from our pancake breakfast and auction so that we can get our events mentioned on the radio remotes. Motion by Dan 2nd by Bruce to give 4 family 4 packs to the pancake breakfast and 5 50/50 raffle tickets for the auction. Motion carried. It was suggested by Dick Adams that requests like this could be handled directly by those heading up the committees for these events. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Steve Dickson reported on the Auction. It is Sunday December 5th. Your help is greatly appreciated. If you can get gift certificates donated from anywhere you shop those always go over well. We are having a meeting December 3rd, after the meeting we will be putting together last minute baskets for the auction, stay and help if you can. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Cathy is putting together final candy day report, she does have two cases of mints left, she'll bring them to the auction and we will add them to the baskets. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
