Meeting called to order at 6:45 pm. 23 members and 2 guests present

Secretary’s Report:

Minutes previously emailed to all members. Motion by Steve P and 2^nd by Zig to approve the meeting minutes. Motion Approved

Frank Green – potential new member

Kevin Burns – DJ from teen tent at Old Settler’s Days. Kevin has a lot of ideas to help us re-vamp the old teen tent and to add a 3 on 3 basketball tournament to the festival. Kevin is going to write a proposal on what he would like to see and the funds needed to add the activities.

Correspondence:

1.                  Letter from Don VanSchelven from the Old Stone Church Food pantry thanking us for our donation of $1000.

2.                  Center for Sight & Sound thank you note for our $100 donation to their Sunset Stroll event in September.

3.                  Rockton DARE officer Penny Cure sent a thank you for our $250 donation to the program.

New Business:

Scott Wallace wanted input from the members regarding a Mission Statement for the club. Bring ideas to the next meeting.

Next Meeting will be Thursday November 15^th at 6:30 pm at Sam’s Pizza. Please note the change of location for this meeting!

Christmas Party will be Thursday December 13^th, 2007 at the Gun Club in Beloit. Cocktails 6:30 and dinner at 7:00 pm.

Old Business:

Dues: Three members still owe for dues – Keri Wells is not renewing, and Ken Hausvick has not responded to inquiries.

Auction Donations: Members encouraged to ask any business owners they know well to ask for auction donations. We would like to be able to advertise items up for auction ahead of time.

Jack Lovejoy sent around a sign up sheet for Pancake Day workers. Pancake Day is Saturday December 8^th, please contact Jack if you’d like to participate. He also wants to get signage for the event that also mentions the Rockton American Legion to recognize their help in this event.
