Clarification on Rockton Lions Club website from the Jan 6^th, 2011 meeting minutes…. KTI does not own the URL for Rockton lions or OSD, they donated the money to purchase and host it so that it doesn’t cost the club anything.

OSD update from Josh- There have been some discussion regarding some logistic changes with the grounds also with the VIP area.  Also discussions are continuing re draft vs bottle beer.

Augie advised there have been some questions regarding the food vendors for the 2011 OSD they are asking where the form is so they can register.  Josh advised there are still some things up in the air regarding how to charge this year for the booths and how much the charge will be. The form should be up on the website shortly

The story of Wimpy was passed around to club members for approval for submission to the Lions Club Magazine-all agreed that the story looked good

Update on the Hearing Bus and the Blood Drive for RoRo-The Hearing Bus has been secured but the Blood Drive will not be able to happen this year. The Ill Blood Bank will have to pay their employees overtime on a Saturday to be there and we would have to pre-register 50 people for it to be worth while.  Possibility is for next year if we can get creative to pre-register people.  Kim to email Ron @ the chamber to try to get the Hearing Bus in the advertising for the RoRo.

Follow up discussion regarding The American Cancer Society- For discussion at next meeting to be brought to a vote- Disregarding all donation requests from ACS and make one donation yearly in September

Requests by Mike Peavy-Illinois Eye Bank open house will be held on March 18, 2011 from 1-4pm and Saturday March 19 10-2pm.  The open house will be held in Chicago across from Union Station RSVP required call 800-548-4703

Thank Yous by Mike Peavy- Josh Brown attended a dinner in which the Rockton Lions Club was presented an award from The Boys and Girls Clubs for outstanding support of the stateline Boys and Girls Clubs.
