Meeting called to order 6 pm. 23 members, 7 guests
Secretary’s Report:
Again, all minutes will appear online and sent via email. Over the summer the club and members received several awards: Pin awards for member sponsors: Steve Pomahac, Zig Sekula, Kerri Wallace.
Scott and Kerri also attended a District 1-D awards ceremony – The Club received three awards: 100% Club, 100% President, and 100% Secretary

Introduction of Guests:
John Peterson, Dean Camacho, Jeff Byrne, Ann Stenberg, and Christine Patterson are all filing applications to become members. Cory and Miranda Magnus are also guests this evening.

Donation Requests:
Golden Apple foundation requesting money for the 2008-09 year. Motion by Jerry Wallace, 2nd by Bruce to donate $500. Motion carried.
Beloit Hospice, Motion by Jerry 2nd by Zig for $500 donation. Motion carried.
Harvest day – this is a one day event at the park put on by local volunteers. Motion by Jerry and 2nd by Dick for $150 donation.
Over the summer we approved the following donations:
· $500 for a Ramp for the Magnus family
· $476 for helmets for the Bike Rodeo
· $100 Sight and Sound Walk
Make note of our new schedule and location. All meetings will be at 6:00 at the legion with different local restaurants catering. We will need a couple people before and after each meeting for set up and clean up.
Candy Day – Sign up sheet passed around – please sign up! October 10th is the date. Contact Cathy B. Also someone needs to get permission from the Village.
Christmas Walk and Pancake breakfast are still on. Steve Dickson is chairing the auction and has a lot of ideas already in the works.
Discussion of the Segzda fund from last year. We have $27,000 balance in that fund now. The intent was to be for sight and sound related donations, but we have been told that ultimately we are to use it with our best discretion. We will definitely think of this fund when considering donations due to hardship as well.
Committee Assignments:
Golf Outing: Dick is currently the chair, but anyone who’d like to take it over is welcome. Possibly, Josh.
Rose Day: Currently Dick – Bart volunteers to co-chair as well

Sight & Sound Cathy B
Wimpy’s – Charlotte
Ro/Ro – Kerri is currently, but is stepping down, someone will be needed to chair this event if it is to continue.
Pancake Breakfast – Jack (with Kathy doing 50/50)

Special thanks to Dick for the Golf outing this year, we had some trouble with the rain, but managed to have a successful event. We had more people than a year ago.
Dues – If you have not paid your dues please do so ASAP. Anyone not renewing membership should contact Kerri or Zig.
OSD – we lost $3300 on the event, due to the adversity of the weather and flooding. We had successful Fri- Sunday anyway, and had our best Saturday for Beer Sales. Thursday was pretty much lost with the carnival and beer sales.
Next year: July 16-19, 2009
Discussion of Casino trip again this year, there seems to be interest in the event taking place once a year, possibly in winter or early spring. Kathy will look into dates.
Cassandra Leaman asked if anyone could provide her a ride to and from the meetings, she lives in the Kocker/Blackhawk area.
