Ron with changes being made to the
meeting minutes from March 3rd, 2011, Request to add, “The $500.00
for the Rockton Fire Department was approved for the purchase of additional
emergency medical equipment. The department requested $1700.00 for a 2 Combi
Carrier Scoop Boards, $1000.00 for CPR Training Videos, or $194.00 2 Transfer
Carrying Sheets-Total $2894.00”

The check for the Boy Scouts Troop 619 was given to Jerry
Swenson to deliver to Mr Larkin as there was no mailing address on the
presentation information from March 3rd meeting.
OSD update-Kick off party will be held on April 28th
@ Fibs from 5-7pm with Customer
Appreciation Night from Fibs.
Rose Day-Cut off date to order is March 25th
please call Dick Adams or Mike Peavy with questions…Money can be dropped off at
the Macktown Bank with Ann Stenberg or to Dick Adams.
RORO- We did not spend the approved $50.00 for
prizes as there was not enough time to obtain enough prizes in bulk.
Hearing Bus was a huge success we had 64 people get their
hearing checked in total. Saturday 43 and Sunday 21…We will be working with
Maurio at Lions International to obtain the bus for OSD and the Diabetes bus if
available
We did spend $45.52 towards décor for the booth at RORO
including beads for the eggs. A
check was provided to Kim Peavy for 45.52.
There is also a list of things that we would like to
discuss for next year but will table this until after OSD.
OSD concert tickets give away at RORO totaled 21 and there
were 68 free admissions given away.
VIP ticket winner was pulled by Augie- The winner is Tim
Sikes. Kim will contact Tim on 03/17/2010 and try to obtain a picture for
Facebook and possibly the website.
3 Rose day tickets were sold during RORO
Total $299.00 for both days between Eggs and the VIP sale.

A. Lions banner for award patches was created by Kim Peavy and Jessica Larkin for a cost of $39.49. Kim P was provided a check for $39.49. There may be additional cost to have the patches and letters embroidered on but should be minimal.
B. Scott Wallace read the email from John McVay regarding his resignation for the Lions Club.
C. Anyone who is interested in volunteering for the Fish N Fun please attend a meeting on Thursday, March 24 @ 6:00 at Loves Park City Hall
D. Golf Play day-Dick Adams will be held
on Wednesday 09/07/2011
E. Tailtwister needs raffle tickets.
They can be purchased at Walmart but prior to purchasing Josh will see if he has
any tickets at his house.
Next meeting will be on April 7th at 6:30 at
Fibs. Next OSD meeting will be April 7th at 5:30 at Fibs
