Meeting Minutes 12/17/09

 

Meeting called to order 6:30 pm 18 members and 1 returned guests

 

Christmas Party- The Christmas Dinner is January 10, 2010 5:00 at the Rockton Inn. Please RSVP to Kathy by emailing her at qustafam7@charter.net .(Bruce, you can call her since you are the ONLY one that has not been introduced to technology =)

 

Secretary’s Report: Betsy emailed members the link for the Dec. 3 meeting.  She asked the club if they wanted to have the regular Lions meeting on the 7th or just have the Christmas party.  Majority wanted to cancel the January 7th meeting and just have the Christmas Dinner on January 10. Motion to approve by Zig. 2nd by John. Motion carried.

American Diabetes Association

Frank will get a hold of them to discuss soliciting donations at RoRo.  Discussion about giving a minimum of $500 and match proceeds made at RoRo.  Discussion was tabled until Frank can talk further with the organization.

 

Canine Companion Independence 

The organization is out of state and the club has previously donated to local canine organizations. Motion to deny by Frank, 2nd by Dale. Motion Carried.

Charlotte said 60 families are being helped. Delivery is Sat. morning @ Ferguson Financial (Pomahac’s building) HELP IS NEEDED.  If you can help please be there between 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Dale discussed the Lions Cruise.  It will be March 21, 2010.  If you are interested or if know people who are please contact Kate Adami. @ 633-2200.
