MEETING PLACE DISCUSSION

The club decided to try China Palace or Sams Pizza for a Lions club meeting. Kim will call and gather information.  

SECRETARY'S REPORT-Kim Peavy

Secretary's report was passed 1^st motion Kerri Wallace 2nd-Mike Peavy

Michelle Brown not receiving emails. Kim Peavy obtained her email and added to the distribution list

REQUESTS

    A.  Circle of Change for men and women returning back from Iraq and Afghanistan proposal of $500.00 motion passed 1^st Bruce 2^nd Jerry Wallace

    B.  Center of Sight  certificates-Eye exams are included if the Lens Crafters in Machesney Park is used. $1,000 approved to obtain the certificates. Motion passed 1-Jerry Wallace 2nd-Josh Brown

Terry Keene donated $30,000 in total...$10K for OSD Sponsorship, $10K to Wimpy's Fund,  $10K for Lions club. -Thank You Terry

NEW MEMBER

Welcome  Allison Larson into Rockton Lions Club.  Allison will be sworn in at the next meeting

ROCKTON LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS DINNER

Lions club Christmas dinner was approved to be at The Butterfly Club-Kim Peavy will send out an email with all the specifics once all is finalized with The Butterfly Club. 

PANCAKE DAYS

Boy Scouts will be helping this year there will be a small group at 7am and another group coming around 8 to assist with the Goldie Floberg Kids

CHRISTMAS WALK

Silent Auction will be chaired by Michelle Brown. Please drop of all donations at The Country Cottage

Andrew Davenport not in attendance the Club has some questions and will need to have an update at the next meeting on Christmas Walk Weekend.

Question for Andrew Davenport and Christmas Walk committee.  Why is the Rockton Lions Cub events not listed in the RRSTAR or news in association with the Christmas Walk?

RORO

Kim Peavy will call Frank to discuss if he wants to do RORO this year.. I did call Frank on 11/19/2010 and he advised he is not interested in doing RORO. Will need to discuss at next meeting

Josh Brown requested the hearing bus be at RORO...Kim Peavy will call regarding this...Steve P advised he will email Kim Peavy all the information.
