| Secretary's Report: Zig noted that there is a correction in the last meeting minutes, we sold 20 dozen less roses than last year, not 200 dozen. Motion by Zig and 2nd by Josh to accept the minutes with that correction. Motion carried | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Letter from Sight and Sound center acknowledging 162 pairs of glasses that Jerry Wallace dropped off last month. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Letter from Barbara Olson School of hope, they want to buy a 15 passenger van, they need $18,000 more to purchase and are looking for donations. Motion by Josh, 2nd by Laree to donate $1000 from the Segzda fund. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Chamber soliciting for golf outing sponsorship, Motion by Steve to sponsor $180, 2nd by Dick. 1 no, 1 abstention, motion carried | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Site & Hearing Center, per phone call from Ray Hughes to Kerri asking for sponsorship of their golf outing, their sponsorships are $1000-2500. Seems a bit pricey. Also Scott wanted Kerri to report more about her call with Ray. He had initially called to 'get the club's blessing' on how they were going to spend the $50,000 we donated. They had invested the money and it's coming due, they wanted to purchase a machine to test hearing that would be great for older patients, and would test them more accurately and be able to test more people. | Suggested date for the steak fry is July 23rd, we ask that Paul check on the date at the boat club. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| May 14th is the date for the scholarship presentation of our 2 Lion's scholarships, the Community Foundation asks that we have a representative there, Dian Valentine volunteers to go. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Donation request from Lions Fish and Fun Day, June 6th at Rock Cut Park. If you want to be involved they are having their last meeting May 16th @ the sight and sound center (time unknown?). Motion by Scott to donate $250, 2nd by Betsy. Motion carried. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| OSD - We will have a live remote at Cousins in Rockford in May or June with Q98.5. Josh will determine date and let the club know so we can have as many Lions there as possible. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Casino Trip - currently have only 18 people, we need 40, we will have to cancel if we don't get more people signed up. Please let Kathy know asap if you or any friends want to sign up. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
