Meeting called to order 6:30 pm 20 members and 4 guests

 

Presidents announcements:  August may not be at the next meeting due to work.  If he is not available Josh (VP) will run the meeting. 

Secretary’s Report: Betsy emailed members the link for the Jan. 21 meeting.  Betsy asked if any officers were resigning their position for the following 2010-2011 year to notify her.  Motion to approve by Zig. 2nd by Jon. Motion carried.

OSD Announcements:  Stave gave a summary of the OSD meeting.  The OSD kick off is Feb. 25 at Fibs (5-7).

 

 

Requests:

 

Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D)

Jerry Wallace made a motion to approve $200.00.  Courtney 2nd.  Motion Carried.

 

American Cancer Society

Motion to deny by Kathy, 2nd by Ann.  Motion Carried.

 

Lions Club District Convention Ad

Motion to approve a $60.00 dollar ad by Jerry W., 2nd by Ann. Motion Carried.

 

Special Olympics-Polar Plunge

Motion to approve $100.00 for each lions member plunging by Jerry W., 2nd By Zig.  Motion carried.

 

2010 RoRo Expo:  Frank passed around RoRo sign up.  The dates are March 13th & 14th.

 

Rose Day:  Dick passed out more Rose day posters and flyers. 

 

Gold play day: Gold play day is Wed. September 8th  

 

Lions Cruise:  Dale announced that 8 cabins are booked

 

Next meeting will be at Fibs February 18th at 6:30.
