Leader Dog Demonstration
Club rec’d two certificates and patches from Sight and Hearing drive.
Last meeting is scheduled for 5-19. Most of Exec. Board cannot be there. It is HHS awards night also. Suggestion was offered to move meeting to 5-26 instead. Motion to move made by Lion Tami, seconded by Lion Jim. Motion carried with one dissent.

Pyro Jeff visited asking if he could bid on the fireworks show. He would like to see the OSD show come back to a local contractor. Gave his card to Lion Cathy to pass along to Lion Dan as he is the chair for the OSD fireworks committee.
Macktown Warriors Football: 501c3 Charity. Presented on costs associated with outfitting each child, referee fees, field set up fees, and other expenses. Spoke about what their program is grounded on and what sponsorship they seek. Brought Blake and Chad along with him. Asking for $2K from Lions Club. Mentioned they would like to help at OSD as well.
Sherry Zimmer: Attended orientation. Childhood friend of Lion Tami.
Bob Betz: Friend of Lion Chris.
Beth and Jerry Cassler: Friends of Lion Jeanna.
International Lion Magazine: shared a link to our Facebook . The video is of our club swearing in new members.
Secretary’s Report:
Emailed out, called for motion to approve. Lion Scott motioned and Lion John seconded. Motion to approve carried unopposed.
Treasurer’s Report:
Report handed out.
Noted the payments made to scholarship funds. Statement is updated quarterly.

The Lion was given to Lion Steve Shannon to bring back to the next meeting.

Lion Denise asked who was supposed to pick up Lion Jerry. Lion Brent was ill and it got missed.
Lion Kevin needs three spots for Saturday filled
Leader Dog Puppy, Astro will be there both days.

Leo Club
Doing Polar Plunge this Saturday. Raised over $500 and can still take donations. Lion Tami will get link to Lion Karen to send out to Club.  It is also posted on our FB page. Lion Kerri challenged the membership to support the Leos.
Special Olympic B-ball team participated in the HHS faculty/student game
Leo conference last weekend attended by Lion Tami and Leo Zeke. They will be working with the N. Boone Leos on a project for Fish N Fun coming up this summer.
7th is the next bowling night at Viking Lanes for Special Olympics practice.
Club is recruiting to replace the 13 seniors they will be losing at the end of the school year.
Lion Jeanna will bring FLD (Future Leader Dog) Astro to bowling.

Tickets and money can be dropped off at Lion Cathy Bellich’s State Farm Office, Lion Steve Pomahac’s Macktown Insurance office or to Lion Dick Adams directly. They can also be brought to meetings and dropped off there.
Last day to sell is April 8th.
Lion Jeff S’s son wants to volunteer to help deliver.
Do we want to approach the Boy Scouts troop 620 to sell Lions Roses also and give the $5 per dozen they sell? Motion made to approve this move by Lion Jeanna seconded by Lion Jeff S. Motion carried unopposed. Lion David to let the troop know. Lion Kerri will update this online as well.

Football team as a backup for trash collections this year?
General Business:
Online membership surveys will be coming out soon. Please put comments where appropriate with your ratings. It’s hard to change something if we aren’t sure what you mean, or what the issue is. Only about 1/3 of the club has responded at this point.
Melvin Jones and Foundations Fellows please get your nominations to Lion Kerri.
Roscoe Middle School sent a thank you for our offer to help fund a special unit for one of their students. Turns out their insurance covered it 100%! In turn, they have made a request to help fund devices for the auditory impaired students. Student units run $818.95 each and teacher unit runs $974. 00. Lion Jeff S. made motion to reallocate the funds from the earlier request that were unused toward this new request in the amount of $1793 paid directly to the CS&H. Lion Karen seconded the motion. There was discussion. Lion Jeff was asked if he would like to rescind or amend his motion. He did not. Motion carried unopposed.
Lion Kerri called for discussion on Macktown Warriors request. There was discussion regarding giving The Club just the patch and not the full shadowboxed jersey to save costs. There was more discussion on other issues. Motion made by Lion Doug to give them $1000.00 with Lion Scott seconding. Motion carried.
